There will be a maximum of 10 campers in each group/bunk along with 2 counselors.

Each bunk will have their own primary classroom in the Early Childhood Education wing of the JCC. The first floor classrooms will be for younger campers and the upstairs classrooms for older campers. The Multipurpose room and Game Room will be utilized.

Each bunk will be independent from one another. Each group will spend the majority of their time in their room, the pool, courtyard, and fields. We will be carefully monitoring camper scheduling and program locations to ensure all camp groups maintain the recommended ten-foot distance from each other.

A majority of camp staff will be from our Early Childhood Education Center and returning camp staff and they are very familiar with the camp program and your child(ren)’s needs.

This summer, there will be no parents / guardians permitted into the camp. Arrival will entail a communicated drop off procedure, temperature check and wellness questions. All arriving staff will undergo the same procedure daily. The start/end time of your child’s day may differ based on how you are signed up for Early Childhood.

After the new morning arrival procedure is complete, the camp day will consist of daily free swim (or water play for our younger campers), art projects, sports and games in the fields, nature, cooking and more!

In accordance with the CDC guidelines, there will be NO offsite trips in 2020 or beach days. Additionally, large group gatherings and outside entertainment are not permitted.

Parents must pack a dairy (non-meat) lunch Monday through Thursday in a disposable brown bag with disposable icepacks. Camp will offer a complimentary pizza lunch party every Friday.

This summer we will be following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the New Jersey Department of Health. When in their bunk room, in the fields or the swimming pool our campers will not have to wear masks. Masks will be worn during arrival, dismissal and transition times (i.e. walking to pool/fields).

Weather permitting, campers will swim every day in the outdoor pool. Our younger campers will enjoy daily water play in the courtyard. Campers should arrive in their bathing suits daily and pack a towel and dry change of clothes. There will always be at least two lifeguards present in addition to your child’s counselors. The outdoor pool will be closed to JCC members and guests during the camp day.
