Join Us In Welcoming the 2018 Israeli Schlichim

This Summer, Camp By The Sea at the Katz JCC will host two Israeli counselors called Shlichim who will work with campers as Cultural Arts Specialists in our Israeli camp classroom.  While at camp, they will teach children and teens about the history and culture of Israel through hands-on activities, stories, games, songs, dance and crafts. We are currently in need of families residing in the Margate area to fill lodging needs for various weeks beginning June 25 through August 17 for each of the counselors who will soon be arriving from Israel.

You and your family will have an everlasting and educational multicultural experience with our Israeli’s. Your children will make lifelong friendships and bonds with both Mor and Michal throughout the summer. The JCC is looking for families to host both of our Israeli’s for 1-3 week intervals. This is an amazing opportunity that you don’t want to miss!

Mor Kedmi

I am so excited to be a part of Camp By The Sea this summer. As my third year as an Israeli camp counselor I am looking forward to learning all of CBTS’ camp rituals and traditions. My favorite part about camp is the morning flag pole when the entire camp is gathered together. My favorite sport is gymnastics and my favorite ice cream flavor is cookie dough. One of my biggest dreams in life is to travel as much as possible!

Michal Finstein

Camp by the Sea is going to be my second year as an Israeli camp counselor and I couldn’t be more excited. I am looking forward to getting to know the JCC and Margate community during my summer with you. I love to lead song sessions at camp and spark the camper’s musical interest! My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla and I love to play soccer in my free time. One of my biggest dreams is to perform my own songs!
